Phew!

That is how I felt last night when I finish the 77th circle in a square block for my afghan...

I will be laying them out this week and starting putting them together. I am going to use a different method to sew them together than I have up to now. Tonight, my quilt group is coming for our monthly meeting so it will have to wait. I am ready for them to come so I will be spending time reading more of The Vineyard. I was not sure I was going to like it but it is very good.

And speaking of very good...that is how my rainbow shawl is coming along. I only work on it in the late afternoon while talking to my mother on Skype. We hold a little yarn bee online. Just look at the yummy colors...even the ball of yarn is a beautiful thing!

Here is the shawl up to today which I am totally loving. It has a long way to grow though. I want this to be nice and big to really wrap up in on a cool summer's eve or a cold winter's night.

I am linking up with Ginny's YarnALong.

  1. I know you are one very busy girl. You do part of a project and while you finish it your head is on the the next thing. Well, you have like four things going at a time anyway and still planning the next thing. lol
Both of these projects are really nice once again.
I have been busy also, finishing a birthday sweater for Manny and a project for you and getting your birthday package ready and sent.
I will lose track of your ideas for ten days
while I am in Florida with Louise, helping
her pack up her house she has just sold. Only personal items. The furniture stays.
Have a fun night with the quilt ladies and say hi for me.

  5. Love all your squares. Funny, I had circle in square in my mind when I woke up this am, and since have hit several versions...it must be an omen and mean that's what I should make next? lol

Am leaving you the url to my charity blog, since you quilt as well as crochet etc thought you might be interested. http://homelessbridge.blogspot.com/

    1. Heidi, I love your projects...but then again what else is new...LOL...The shawl will be so cozy and warm and I love your afghan. I had been thinking about a circle in a square afghan last winter but put the thought on hold...now I just may have to rethink grins...I am glad you liked the book...I have not read that one yet,but have enjoyed others by the author. I just finished Sonoma Rose by Jennifer Chiaverini and loved it. That too had a vineyard in it. It made me want to go back to wine country. Enjoy your quilt group tonight and happy stitching!

  6. Your squares and your shawl are very nice. I've read a couple of Barbara Delinsky's books, and they're pretty good.

  10. De granny cirkels worden mooi! En oh, wat gaat dat bij jou toch snel!
De sjaal krijgt een heel mooi kleurverloop. Heerlijk als je die straks kan gaan dragen. Lekker warm en vrolijk!
