Tuesday Tallies...It has started to snow...

Yes...it is snowing in my house. Lots of pretty snowflakes. I have 7 done completely and 4 more half done. I had a number of people ask about this pattern. I found it here. I love the way the red pulls it into a delicate snowflake.

I also have a few ta-dahs to share...

The man's scarf is done and ready to package up and send it on its way. I ended up making this 46-inches long at my mother's request. The person I made this for will not wrap or knot it she told me so not to make very long. I decided to sew a label on and still have to do the same with the two afghans.

Speaking of afghans, my little tester has been helping me out. He had to make sure this one was Dagi approved. *grins* Our little man is growing very old by the day and we are taking each day as it comes with him. He is really having a hard time but at the same time so happy for us to be together. He does not want us to leave him now. And we appreciating his cuddles each day!

I finished the second afghan. I only wish I had taken a photo sooner...like before taking back the left over yarn. I now wish I had added a few rows of the light grey and then a couple extra rows of dark grey to balance it out. *sigh* Still I am happy with this and think the person it is for will like the Indian blanket look.

So now I have almost finished my Elf work for the time being. Not quiet as I still have my workshop open but I am glad that I am well on time this year.

Check out Carole's blog for my One a Day projects.

  2. The afghan is amazing, I love it. Great work. The scarf also came out really well. Hope he will put it on now, lol.
Your tow mans are coming out really well. Glad you are having fun. Now, I just emailed another pattern to you. A ruffled scarf or as you say, shawl. Not called a shawl in USA.
You sure are a busy little elf and only happy when you have several projects going at a time.
I like to do one and finish before I start another. I would go buggy.
Happy sewing now, cause I know that is what you are also doing.
    Love you, Mom

  5. The snowflakes are beautiful, I think I will have to make some of them for my sister :)

Dagi looks lovely in that photo, all snuggled up...means you have done a good job and passed the comfort test!!

The scarf looks really warm, and it was a good decision to leave it that length if the person doesnt wear it wrapped around :)

  10. You gave me quite a fright when you said it was snowing! I think it will be an early winter because the Canada geese are already flying south.

Good for you, finishing up two of your Christmas gifts! Both the scarf and the blanket look great and I'm sure will be very much appreciated.

Love that pattern! And your choice of colors!! On a cold day like yesterday (and many more to come) it would be wonderful to have a blanket like this...

  19. I love the colours of the afghan that Dagi is testing out for you. How sad that he is getting old - the same is happening with B Baggins though he is still fit and active, he's 91/2 now though and very grey round his muzzle.
