A terrible thing has happened.....

As the temperature registered 40C/104F here in Elf Central Workshoppe, reports came in about a terrible accident with Miss Pickles the Elf...

She melted away in the heat. An SOS has been sent out to the North Pole and reports are that they are working away on restoring this elf back to health so she can be busy again soon with making gifts.

  1. Oh Noooooooooooooooo, you said it was going to happen, I hope they work quickly to find a cure,
rain might help a lot and snow would help even more. I hope your hat fits on the whole person again soon.
    Love you, Mom

  3. Was reading Rhonda's blogs and noted you inquired about me - think of you as well, and wonder what beautiful creations your busy hands are producing - so visited your blog for the first time in a good while. You are so clever with the post about Miss Pickles the Elf and surely hope she is restored soon...will be checking back.

  5. I kind of feel like Miss Pickles. It is hot summer here in Oklahoma, but not nearly as hot as the 2 previous hottest summers ever, winter will be here soon!

I had a long phone chat with my mom and dad this morning and mom and I talked about you, were your ears itching? it was all nice. Mom and I both adore all your sweet blog posts and handwork and wonder how you get so much done.

hope it cools off for you and Miss Pickles soon!

  7. Oh I am so sorry to hear about Miss Pickles. Hopefully she will be as good as new asap. We sure can make us chuckle Heidi. I have so missed blogging and especially your wonderful encouragement. I found your SAL ornaments from 2009 on my hard drive, so I printed them out and will finally finish them. I only have Sleigh Bells. I better get stitching. I did need two, so thank you for keeping your archives up.
We are finally getting some cooler weather...only in the low 90s! Nights have been in the high 50s. What a relief that is.
    blessings, jilly
